Nervous System Regulation
Therapy through
Somatic Movement
Therapy through Somatic Movement helps free the spine and gives the body more freedom of movement in general.
It is a rehabilitation through movement and mindfulness for the prevention and relief of spine and joint problems - the movement during therapy as well as in daily life becomes safer and more stable as the body acquires new movement patterns.
The movements have a profound effect on the nervous system and contribute to stress reduction as well as to greater attention and awareness. In addition, the mindfulness exercises provide essential tools to navigate life's inner and outer events with grounding and stability.
The Safe and Sound Protocol
The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is a complement
to several different kinds of somatic as well as cognitive
therapies. It aims to re-educate inner ear muscles that are
key to the nervous system through sessions of listening to specially filtered music. This can often be done partially
from home and sessions may be set up at a distance.
One can expect to feel more secure, calm and comfortable
in one's daily activities and in one's relationships with others.
This often also allows for greater awareness and more clarity
in many areas of one's life.
